Work Camper's Prayer
The following "rap prayer" was written and prayed by Taurean Banks of Grace Episcopal Church, Newark, NJ as part of the parish's Youth Sunday observance after a summer EAM work camp at Grace House on the Mountain in St. Paul, Virginia.
I pray for the rich and I pray for the poor.
I pray for my neighbors that live next door.
I pray for the soldiers that are going to war.
I would like to pray for the world some more.
I pray for the dead and I pray for the living.
My love to the world, that's what I'm giving.
Family and friends to you I give my love.
I'm soon to be at the heavens above.
I been touch by an angel and kiss by God,
I'm standing at heaven's door with my hands on the door knob.
I been touch by an angel and kiss by God,
I'm standing at heaven's door with my hands on the door knob.
I pray for the rich andl pray for the poor.
I pray for my neighbors that live next door.
I pray for the soldiers that are going to war.
I would like to pray for the world some more.
